The 2011 season for the Shenandoah Valley Steam Show had a smaller crowd this year. Telltale evidence of the econmy. Although it was very hot everybody had a good time.

The Cove Mills Reunion was a bust on Friday, because of the rain. Apple butter and cider making seemed to be the biggest hit, and the singing in the tent was well attended. The show suffered in attendence because of the rain on Friday and the forcast of rain on Saturday and Sunday

The Grease, Steam and Rust event in McConnaldsburg, Pa. has a goodly turnout this year with the usual events and tractors. Rain on Friday canceled the truck pulls and the venders were fewer in number for the show.

Down through the years I have been associated with farm tractors, having grown up on a farm in south central Pa., and working in an International Harvestor dealership for a few years, in Berkeley Springs, Wv., where I have lived for the past 46 years. I started an excavating company in 1978 and it is still going strong today. Since my roots were in farming and the old John Deere two clyinder tractors I never got that ole "putt putt" sound out of my system. So, having the background for them, I have started this site to share some of the tractors I have collected and offer for sale parts and equipment at the same time. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to send any comments you may have. Most of the pictures you see on the headings are from the Grease, Steam and Rust parades in McConnaldsburg, Pa.
